The DAAD Scholarships Postgraduate Courses in Germany or German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarship provides foreign graduates from all disciplines in developing countries and newly industrialized countries.

 

With at least two years of professional experience giving them the opportunity to study for a postgraduate or master's degree at a national or nationally recognized German university, And in special circumstances, one should obtain a doctorate degree, and obtain a German university degree (Master/Doctorate degree).

Scholarship amount/included/duration:


The scholarship includes a scholarship of 861 Euros per month for graduates or 1,200 Euros per month for doctoral students; 

payment of health, accident, and personal liability insurance expenses; and travel allowances, unless these expenses are borne by the home country or other funding sources.


The scholarship period for a master's degree is 12 to 24 months (depending on the specific institution), and the scholarship period for a doctoral degree is 42 months.


What qualification is required for DAAD Scholarships?


  • Work in public institutions or state-owned or private companies in developing countries, and therefore engage in the planning and execution of directives and projects, with a focus on development policies related to technological, economic, or social fields.


  • Have a bachelor's degree in a related discipline (usually four years).


  • The grades of the completed academic degree are much higher than the average (one third), and it is best to have at least two years of relevant professional experience (bachelor's degree) after obtaining the first degree.


  • His/her degree is usually not more than six years old.


  • For the German study course: (the scholarship includes a 6-month German course): You have successfully passed the language exam DSH 2 or TestDaF 4 before the start of the study course. Therefore, the minimum German level B1 must be reached at the time of application, which needs to be proved by providing a certificate.


  • For English courses: IELTS (Level 6) certificate or TOEFL (minimum score: 550 points on paper, 213 computer-based, 80 Internet)
