Eligibility criteria for Master scholarship for African students (Japan Africa Dream Scholarship)
- Eligible candidates for this master's scholarship are those who have obtained an accredited master's degree program at a partner university in Japan at least one year before the application deadline.
- The applicant must be under 35 years of age, and the applicant must be fit and healthy and have a bachelor's degree in energy or related field. and have an excellent academic record.

- The candidates must be from those countries which are part of the African development bank.
- After obtaining a bachelor's degree (or equivalent), one year or more of recent development-related experience;
- Unconditionally accept at least one JADS partner university to study for a master's degree in the next academic year;
- Those applicants are eligible who are now staying or working in their home country only.
- Not an executive director, his/her alternate and/or all types of staff appointed by the African Development Bank Group or close relatives of the above. The term "close relative" is defined as: sister, half-sister, brother, same father Stepbrother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew.
How can African students apply for a master scholarship - JADS
- The applicants must request for application form and procedure from selected JADS partner universities.
- The applicant fills out the form and must send it by post to the university.
- The university will then shortlist the candidates for a master's scholarship.
- Then the university sends the selected candidates to the African Development Bank.
- The African Development Bank reviews the materials submitted by the universities and prepares and approves the final list.
- The African Development Bank contacts the selected winners and informs the university.
